About
Welcome to my website! My name is Liane Tallo and I am currently studying HNC Media and Communication at college. For as long as i can remember, I have been fascinated with the media and how it is produced, particularly television. I love to create my own content and I have a passion for editing.
i studied at Uddingston Grammar School where I achieved 5 Highers including English and Music, and I have an NQ in Television and Podcasting.
I have experience in editing for video and audio, and presenting for radio. I run my own social media platforms as well as a Mixcloud page for my radio content.
I have also been in front of the camera, featuring in some social media videos, for the RNIB campaign group Haggeye where i discuss what a symbol cane is and how it helps me in my day to day life, and another for Network Rail's Access for All project at Uddingston train station where i can be seen testing out the new lift facilities. In additon,
I occasionally make my own videos about visual impairment, but that's more for fun. i love creating content and helping out in some great projects.

I am Scottish and I come from Glasgow. I've been visually impaired since birth; I have retinopathy of prematurity, and nystagmus. The latter causes involuntary eye movements. I'm very proud to be VI and I hope one day I can inspire others like myself to own their visual impairment.
When I'm not studying media, I'm probably consuming it. I'm an avid television fan and i enjoy going to the cinema and the theatre. i also like to play the xylophone and sing. although I'm not the greatest at either. My favourite TV shows include Saturday Night Takeaway and BBC's Ghosts. I have also attended the annual National Television Awards twice and both times were outstanding and some of my favourite memories!
I would say I dip my toes into a bit of everything, in terms of my skills and my interests. I wouldn't say I have anything definitive. However my lifelong inspirations are the tv presenters and true legends, Ant and Dec. I've adored watching them since the age of ten and they are the whole reason I do what I do. Additionally, i believe you can find tiny pieces of inspiration in anything if you look hard enough!
Thank you for visiting my website. All support I receive is greatly appreciated, more than you'd ever know
Liane :)
