introduction
welcome!
This is the section dedicated to all my television and video work. I'm grateful to have had some great experiences in this field, inside and outside of college.
At college, I have sound mixed in the gallery for a television broadcast-style end of year awards show, as well as film studio and location projects, In the studio, I have done basic camera operations, floor manage, sound levels/mixing, and some directing. On location, I have been a boom operator and an actor. I have also made two documentaries for college so far, completely independantly from development through to post production.
outside of college, i have spent a day at BBC Scotland, chatting to professionals and seeing their studios, recorded a video showcasing my symbol cane for the campaign group Haggeye's social media pages, and been in a video showcasing a local railway project.
i have also had experience being in front of the camera, doing voiceover and writing scripts. however, my favourite job in production has to be editing. i have a huge passion for the field and the feeling of seeing a project come together after everyone's hard work is like nothing else.
Television would be my dream gig. I have the best memories of watching all kinds of telly growing up, and even now I get a real buzz for incredible TV experiences. Some of my recent favourites include the annual NTAs, Glastonbury, the final series of Saturday Night Takeaway, and Chris McCausland winning Strictly. i believe the atmosphere of live TV is unmatched and I treasure moments like these dearly as the become more rare.
